March!!! Golf is Just Around the Corner

After 350 inches of snow, the Vail Golf Club begins the chore of clearing greens.

It is time for the Vail Golf Club to begin preparations for the 2011 season.  The outside crew has started clearing greens and the inside staff is busy hiring staff and ordering merchandise.  Check out the pictures of the crew clearing greens.

We just had great news heading into the season.  Colorado Avid Golfer's reader poll named the Vail Golf Club one of the best public courses on the Western Slope.  Check out the article online or pick up the magazine to see all poll results.  Colorado Avid Golfer

While I would love to see golf season here quickly, we must hope for a mild spring and a slow melting period.  We saw what happened last year when the Gore Range was loaded with snow and the thermostat went up quickly in May and June.  The flooding shut down our front nine for more than a week.
